an·noy·ing
adj.
Causing vexation or irritation; troublesome: an annoying cough.
do·mes·tic
adj.
1. Of or relating to the family or household: household chores.
2. Fond of home life and household affairs.
n.
1. A household servant.
The "Annoyingly" in Annoyingly Domestic comes from my overzealous desire to emulate all things Martha Stewart-ish. When I say overzealous, I really mean more like obsessive with a smidgen of compulsive in the mix. Add a dash of perfection and lofty standards just for good measure and there ya have it. I battle with this daily, I tell you...
The funny thing is that I never pictured myself the "domestic" sort and, really, I have no idea how I got here. I swear, I woke up in my mashed potatoes one evening and declared that there would be décor . And that it would be good. And, um...it was. (Wasn't that supposed to be "and then there was light?")
